Equinox - People Science : Business Sense

Equinox implies balance. The name "equinox" is derived from the Latin aequus (equal) and nox (night), as around the equinox, night and day have approximately equal length. In nature, balance results in optimal functioning. In business, balancing the needs of the organisation and the needs of employees create's optimal functioning.

Training

Equinox designs and facilitates training at all levels within an organisation. Training programmes are designed in order to meet the requirements of the organisation.

Our training programmes are modularized and are adapted as per client requirements. On completing the training employees will be equipped with the tools to make them more effective in the workplace, more engaged as an important part of the company and more enlightened in both their work and personal lives.

Experiential learning techniques such as case studies, group exercises, self-assessments, team games, role plays, and home assignments for portfolio building are used to facilitate and improve learning and application of principles. Each learner will build a portfolio during the program.

Training is offered at the following levels within the organisation

 

  • Employee training is aimed at junior level employees (e.g. operators).
  • Team Leader training is aimed at those employees who are new to or who are moving into team leader roles.
  • Supervisory training is aimed at those employees who are currently team leaders who have been earmarked for promotion into supervisory positions as well as for those employees who currently hold supervisory / junior management positions.
  • Management training is aimed at those individuals currently holding or moving into managerial positions (middle management).

The human attributes are described as competencies. These competencies can be measured in applicants for the position using the Occupational Personality Test which assists in choosing the best-fit candidate for the position.
